CRIPPLING FAILURE
it is when I fail,
and when tears are of no avail,
the eyes are wet ,listless and pale,
doubts, misery and duality prevail
when I can’t make a head or tail,
it happens when I fail…..
And my house of dreams lay ravaged beyond repair,
those very dreams ,learn t threadbare,
it happens when I fail..
But as the wise men say-‘there’s no time to stand and stare’,
so I shall regain my feet ,brush off the dirt from my hair,
and surge ahead with no despair, </b>
But all my trenchant critics, behold , beware,
because when I unleash my dormant flair,
the world will stop ,stand and stare,
in awe</b> , approbation of this burning glare,
And like the phoenix..
So shall I rise
mesmerize you, and take off for the skies…</b>.
a rather juvenile attempt at poetry (quite evident from the rhyme scheme)…..but failure can be crippling and brings out the Tennyson in you.
